Mel will host the next meeting.

Frag swap was suggested for the meeting. We decided to start a thread on RC for people to list potential trades. Suggested frag sizes of 1.5-2 inch for SPS and 2-3 inch for soft coral.

Dennis from Coral Reef store said he has LR rubble available to attach frags.

2nd topic- Logo

We discussed the possible use for a logo. It was suggested that we create a logo for use on media about the club. A call for designs or suggestions was made.

3rd topic- Gatlinburg Aquarium trip

Graham and Mike Teague discussed contacting Andrew Bitz to find a way to arrange this trip, requesting a guided tour of the facility and the coral reef aquarium.

It was suggested that we rent vans for transportation to the aquarium. Graham and Mike Teague will work on this looking at October.

4th topic- Club promotion

Plans for increasing membership were discussed. Dennis and Graham suggested we place flyers and information about ETRC in the Coral Reef store.

Activities

Graham brought out a soft coral (colt coral) to be fragged. The club members who wanted to take some coral home were shown different techniques, and then got their hands on the coral to take off a frag.  Notes on fragging techniques for a colt coral are here.
